We are what we eat– literally.
We also live in a society that pushes processed foods that are designed to be craved. Additives in processed foods cause us to want more and more. At the same time, our cells aren’t getting the nutrients they need so we eat more to try and solve that problem. It becomes an endless loop of eating excessive amounts of food and never really being nourished. Intuitive eating is not something that many of us were taught.
Instead, it was told that we must clean our plate or finish what was given to us or face punishment. At Barre Buddha, we take an approach or adding in versus taking away and focusing on eating foods that make us FEEL good. There is not a one size fits all approach and let’s face it there is a multibillion-dollar weight loss industry out there. That’s not what our community is about.
